The 10th International Conference “Word in Education” is organised as a continuation of a series of congresses initiated at the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU in Barcelona by Dr Marcin Kazmierczak and other members of the research group “Family, Education and Inclusive School” (TRIVIUM): Dr María Teresa Signes, Dr Laura Amado and Dr Cintia Carreira. Previous conferences were held in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2018 and 2021 in Barcelona (Spain), 2016 and 2020 in Krakow (Poland), 2019 in Paris (France) and 2022 in Valencia (Spain). Since 2016 the conferences have been co-organised by the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU of Barcelona, the Jesuit Ignatianum University of Krakow represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Anna Królikowska (since October 2022, before Dr. Krzysztof Biel), and the IPC – Facultés Libres de Philosophie et Psychologie of Paris represented by Dean Prof. Emmanuel Brochier (since April 2021, before Dr. Michel Boyancé).

In the last edition (April 2022), the research group “Person and Education” of the CEU Cardenal Herrera University and the CEU Institute of Humanities Ángel Ayala, represented by Rafael Fayos, also participated in the organisation.

The San Pablo Andalucía CEU Foundation (Seville), which will be the venue for the congress, is participating in the organisation of this 10th edition, represented by Beatriz Hoster. The CEU Institute of Humanities Ángel Ayala is also contributing.

The conference aims to bring together education experts, philosophers, philologists, psychologists, literary theorists, art historians and theatre scholars to explore thoughts on the experience and practice of education. Both theoretical and empirical studies are welcome.

The confirmed keynote speakers are Joseph Pearce, Javier Pérez Castells, Diego Blanco Albarova, Gregorio Luri Medrano, Gonzalo Aza Blanc, Mauro Magatti, Chiara Giaccardi and Pawel Kazmierczak.

To participate in the conference, please send the title and abstract of your paper (max. 100 words) to [email protected] by 20 June 2023. Papers approved by the Scientific Committee may be published in impact journals or in a first quartile SPI publisher.
