El avance exponencial del desarrollo tecnol\u00f3gico en el \u00e1mbito de las telecomunicaciones refuerza la intensidad de tal inquietud, especialmente al diluirse la frontera entre el \u00e1mbito de lo personal y el de lo p\u00fablico. Cada vez m\u00e1s, gran parte del desarrollo de la personalidad individual depende de la propia proyecci\u00f3n en las m\u00e1s variadas redes sociales virtuales. Parad\u00f3jicamente, esperamos de los poderes p\u00fablicos que velen por la privacidad de las comunicaciones personales mientras que les exigimos que sometan a la trasparencia del control democr\u00e1tico sus propios m\u00e9todos de vigilancia. Peri\u00f3dicamente aparecen en los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n noticias m\u00e1s o menos ef\u00edmeras que hacen referencia a los sofisticados sistemas de control que los nuevos medios tecnol\u00f3gicos proporcionan a los dirigentes de pa\u00edses de cualquier tipo.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-175 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uao.es\/humanidades-educacion\/files\/2014\/02\/descarga3-500x243.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Un poco m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de estas pol\u00e9micas, la literatura de ficci\u00f3n del siglo XX proporciona una gran cantidad de im\u00e1genes e intuiciones sumamente prof\u00e9ticas que pueden servir al hombre del siglo XXI para afrontar con sentido cr\u00edtico a la par que con pasi\u00f3n por la libertad los retos a los que las nuevas vicisitudes vayan enfrent\u00e1ndonos. Resulta especialmente relevante la llamada literatura de anticipaci\u00f3n, tanto en el utopismo procedente ya de los siglos XVIII y XIX e incluso de ciertos precursores renacentistas, como en las distop\u00edas del siglo XX que tan frecuentemente han sido invocadas como recurso tremendamente gr\u00e1fico contra determinadas derivas reales de la cultura de masas y la civilizaci\u00f3n hipertecnologizada.<br \/>\nAl hilo de estas preocupaciones, varios profesores del departamento como <strong>Marcin Kazmierczak<\/strong>, <strong>Jorge Mart\u00ednez Lucena<\/strong> o <strong>Francesc Xicola<\/strong> han colaborado en una obra de reciente aparici\u00f3n: <strong>Miguel \u00c1. Belmonte<\/strong> (ed.) <em><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.uao.es\/humanidades-educacion\/files\/2014\/02\/El-gran-hermano-te-vigila_2-12.pdf\">El Gran Hermano te vigila <\/a><\/em>(Scire, 2013).
