Para ello existen distintos m\u00e9todos que miden la grasa como lo son las b\u00e1sculas de bioimpedancia el\u00e9ctrica, el plic\u00f3metro o lipocalibre. Sin embargo, hay que tener presente que cada uno tiene sus ventajas y desventajas.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2273 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uao.es\/deportes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2019\/02\/GRASA-CORPORAL-406x270.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"543\" height=\"361\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.uao.es\/deportes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2019\/02\/GRASA-CORPORAL-406x270.jpg 406w, https:\/\/blogs.uao.es\/deportes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2019\/02\/GRASA-CORPORAL-272x182.jpg 272w, https:\/\/blogs.uao.es\/deportes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2019\/02\/GRASA-CORPORAL.jpg 615w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 543px) 100vw, 543px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Quiz\u00e1 a\u00fan se debe de estar preguntando porqu\u00e9 m\u00e1s importante el porcentaje de grasa que el peso, pero para comprenderlo, debemos recordar que habitualmente nos fijamos en el \u00edndice de masa corporal (IMC) para saber si tenemos el peso ideal (el n\u00famero existente entre nuestro peso y estatura que nos indica si estamos en un peso adecuado o no), sin embargo, esta f\u00f3rmula no toma en cuenta la masa muscular, por lo que no funciona en todos los casos, empezando por los deportistas.<\/p>\n<p>La masa muscular de un deportista aumenta con el ejercicio y por tanto, el IMC no le ser\u00e1 \u00fatil, mientras que el porcentaje de grasa corporal s\u00ed, ya que esta no se ve afectada por la cantidad de masa muscular. Las enfermedades del coraz\u00f3n, tensi\u00f3n o colesterol alto son algunos de los problemas que puede presentar una persona con un porcentaje de grasa superior al normal. Mientras que el tener poca grasa aumenta el riesgo de padecer de problemas gastrointestinales, problemas de coraz\u00f3n, entre otros.
